Our songwriting and music production workshop takes place at the innovative Hardway Studios, a creative hub based in Salford. This project offers positive, creative opportunities for young people in Manchester.

By providing a safe and supportive environment, the project empowers young creatives to develop essential skills for success in diverse creative industries. Participants build meaningful relationships, create their own creative networks, and gain confidence and proficiency in music production and engineering.

Applicants learn how to produce, record, and engineer music, while also being encouraged to express themselves without boundaries. The program also focuses on developing interpersonal and team bonding skills. The main objective of the project is for participants to write and self-produce a song inspired by personal experiences that have shaped them, while avoiding the glorification of violence or the use of inappropriate language.

Led by industry professionals, the workshops offer mentorship from award-winning producers and sound engineers. Participants will visit state-of-the-art recording and rehearsal spaces, culminating in a showcase where they present their work to friends, family, and community leaders—demonstrating the valuable skills they’ve acquired.
